Gary Allan is kicking off the New Year with a big sales week for his single “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain).” According to his publicist, the song has sold more than 112,000 downloads this week alone.
Gary is also offering an acoustic version of the track online, with proceeds benefiting the Red Cross to support Hurricane Sandy relief. He was booked for a string of Northeast dates when the storm hit in October.
Gary Allan was touring the Northeast when Hurricane Sandy hit. He said, “Yeah, we had a date in Atlantic City and another New York one that canceled. We wanted to go. We wanted to go and try and bring some sunshine. And I think Chris Christie, the [New Jersey] Governor, he shut down the roads so we couldn’t get to it is what happened because even the casinos said, ‘We’d like to at least show the world that we were open and get out there.’ But know, I wasn’t able to.”
Gary's new song “Bones” has been named the theme for the Professional Bull Riders 2013 season, which opens this weekend at Madison Square Garden. The track is from Gary’s album Set You Free, which comes out on January 22nd.
