This week's pick is a CLEAR choice. I read "A Wrinkle in Time" in the 5th grade and LOVED it. My daughter just finished it, and although we know the movie will be slightly different, we can't wait.
The story starts with a little girl, Meg, and the disappearance of her scientist father. Three peculiar beings send Meg, her brother, and her friend to space in order to find him.
Meg is played by Storm Reid, who at only 14 years old, has quite the resume. She's most known for her role as Emily in the Academy Award winning film "Twelve Years A Slave" alongside Brad Pitt, Paul Giamatti, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender.
The rest of the cast needs little introduction. Oprah, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon join Chris Pine and Zach Galifianakis to round out the laundry list of talent.
The movie looks over the top, visually stunning, and just fantastical enough to take me back to my childhood! As always, if you go see the movie, shoot me your reviews!
